Location Aware formats keep the user connected to the surrounding world by serving them ads that are in close proximity to their location. For local owners, businesses can quickly and easily find new customers by showing ads to groups of people who are near that business’s neighborhood, these ads are built to be more cost-effective than traditional advertising channels like newspaper while offering more precise targeting and greater reach.
The performance nature of this ad format made it very difficult to be widely adopted by businesses that also wanted to raise brand awareness, therefore, one of the main challenges while designing this format was to figure out a way to inject a dose of “brand advertising” in order to make it more customizable and appealing to a wider audience without losing its effectiveness, and with this new version of the Location Aware format we’ve accomplished just that.
